Established in 1979, Herndon & Associates� (the business name assumed by Herndon & Herndon Investigations, Incorporated) reputation as a private investigation firm has grown. The firm has continually met the needs of our clients throughout the states of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, and the Canadian province of Ontario.

The staff of twenty-four investigators includes court qualified experts in fire origin & cause, theft of motor vehicles, ignition and steering columns, immobilizer systems, accident reconstruction, vehicle mechanical analysis and surveillance. They are assisted by a six member support staff.

Herndon & Associates provides training to law enforcement, fire service, and the insurance industry in the areas of specialized investigation to include: origin & cause investigation, motor vehicle theft, ignition and steering column locking systems, immobilizer systems, accident damage analysis, surveillance and more.

The Firms auto theft/vehicle fire investigators and certified master mechanic are equipped with General Motors, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, Saab, Audi, Volkswagen, Star and Solus diagnostic equipment. The diagnostic equipment provides information on the number of keys programmed to a vehicle equipped with an immobilizer system and secures information regarding the odometer. Our business hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We have two facsimiles located within our corporate office and also one at our Canadian office to receive any requests twenty-four hours a day. In addition, any investigative requests can be submitted online through the Client Portal or via the phone during regular business hours. The firm has state of the art computer equipment and network services that allow remote access for all investigators.
