Established in 1979, Herndon & Associates (the business name assumed by Herndon & Herndon Investigations, Incorporated) reputation as a private investigation firm has grown. Over the past thirty-one years, we have developed with our clients and have continually met their needs for investigative services throughout Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, Florida, and the Canadian province of Ontario.

The staff of twenty-two investigators includes court qualified experts in fire origin & cause, theft of motor vehicles, ignition and steering columns, immobilizer systems, accident reconstruction, vehicle mechanical analysis and surveillance. They are assisted by a five member support staff.

Herndon & Associates provides training to law enforcement, fire service, and the insurance industry in the areas of specialized investigation to include: origin & cause investigation, motor vehicle theft, ignition and steering column locking systems, immobilizer systems, accident damage analysis, surveillance and more.

The Firms auto theft/vehicle fire investigators and certified master mechanic are equipped with General Motors, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, Saab, Audi, Volkswagen, Star and Solus diagnostic equipment. The diagnostic equipment provides information on the number of keys programmed to a vehicle equipped with an immobilizer system and secures information regarding the odometer. Our business hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., EST, Monday through Friday. Requests can be received online twenty-four hours per day through the Client Portal or via the phone during regular business hours. Additionally, the firm has state of the art computer equipment and network services that allow remote access for all investigators.
